Mrs. Bess COEN Taken In Death

Mrs. Bess Mae COEN, 65, a resident of Farifield for 45 years, died Sunday at 10:25 a.m. at her home at 302 E. Briggs. She had been seriously ill for three months.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Harold G. Kruger. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. COEN was employed at the Fairfield telephone office for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

The former Bess McINTOSH, Mrs. COEN was born Jan. 9, 1896 at Burlington. She was the daughter of Edwin and Sara Charlotte SMITH McINTOSH. She was married to Orville COEN Nov. 30, 1916. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1947.

Mrs. COEN is survived by the following children: Mrs. J. E. McBRIDE, Kent, Wash.; Paul E. COEN, Littleton, Colo.; Mrs. Kermit LENHART, Fairfield; and Mrs. R. L. McKEE, Fairfield. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Sybil STILES, Derby, Kan.; Mrs. Herbert CRAIL, Washington; and Florence McINTOSH, Decorah.

Three sisters and one brother are deceased.
