Robert CLINKENBEARD died yesterday morning at his home in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA) after a lingering illness of paralysis. Mr. CLINKENBEARD was well known in this city and hosts of friends will regret to learn of his death.

Mr. CLINKENBEARD was born in Jefferson county January 20, 1847 (sic - 1843). He grew to young manhood here and was united in marriage to Miss Kate MIKESELL on January 23, 1865. They resided near this city for a number of years. In 1891 they moved to Ottumwa where they have since resided.

Mr. CLINKENBEARD was about 63 years and is survived by his wife, besides six brothers and one sister. They are as follows--Samuel of Morris, Oklahoma, George of Ramesville, Kansas, William of Glasgow, Kansas, Nelson of Kansas City, Mo., Charles of Seattle, Wash., Harrison of Moulton and Mrs. Mary Jane LEWIS of Seymour.

The remains were brought to this city this afternoon for interrment (sic) and the party went directly from the depot to Evergreen cemetery.

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.168. His year of birth is mis-engraved on his gravestone - it is 1847 and should be 1843. Wife Mary subsequently married George BUNNELL, died in 1933, and is buried on the same lot as Robert.
