Beverly J. HOSKINS, 73, of Richland, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following an accident at her home.
The funeral is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Woolson Friends Church south of Richland with the Rev. Angela Hancock and the Rev. Naomi Lock officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery.
The visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the church. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gould Funeral Home in Richland.
Memorials may be made to Woolson Friends Church of First Christian Church of Yuma, Ariz.
Mrs. HOSKINS was born Dec. 18, 1931, in rural Packwood, the daughter of Milton Henry and Cecile Marie LAUDERMAN COFFIN. She married Thomas E. HOSKINS Feb. 17, 1950, at Pleasant Plain Friends Church. He died Aug. 17, 2001.
She grew up in Pleasant Plain, attended local country schools and graduated from Fairfield High School.
She was a farm wife, long time member of Woolson Friends Church, held a state office in the U.S.F.W., and was active in W.C.T.U.
She was a member of Richland Women's Club and Jefferson County Porkettes.
She lived in Yuma the past 22 winters where she was active in the First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Milton HOSKINS and wife Katie of Fairfield and C.L. HOSKINS and wife Peggy of Richland; one daughter, Candice McDONALD and husband Steve of Noblesville, Ind.; two sisters, Norma BOND and Sue BEALL, both of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Hervey COFFIN; one sister, Wanda MUHS; and one grandson.
