Russell E. Ross, 58, of Keosauqua died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

The funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.

Visitation will open at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Center Village Care Center may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 324, Bonaparte 52620.

Mr. Ross was born July 11, 1946, in Ottumwa, the son of Melvin and Esther Laughlin Ross.

He lived his early life in Douds. He lived at Center Village Care Center in Keosauqua for many years and then entered the Good Samaritan Center in 1998.

Survivors include two brothers, John Ross of Calhoun, Mo., and Thomas Ross of Hammond, Ind.; and two sisters, Shirley Beem of Independence, Mo., and Donna Teeter of Bonaparte.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Robert Ross; and one sister, Gail Ross.
