Page 4, Column 1MRS. BERT CHUBBUCK DIED YESTERDAY
Friends and relatives in this city were shocked beyond measure last night when a message was received announcing the death of Mrs. Bert CHUBBUCK, which occured yesterday afternoon at her home in Chamberlain, South Dakota, following closely the birth of a baby girl. The remains will be brought to this city for interment and will arrive Friday afternoon. No arrangements for the funeral will be made until the arrival of the party.
Mrs. CHUBBUCK was formerly Miss Julia McCLAIN (sic - McLANE) of this city and she was a very popular member of society here until her marriage to Mr. CHUBBUCK, which occurred on June 2, 1906 when she went to Chamberlain, S. D., to make her home. She is survived by her husband and infant daughter, her aged mother and one sister, Mrs. Mary NYNHOUS (sic - NYENHUIS) of Chicago; and two brothers, Robert McCLAIN (sic) of Cedar Rapids and John McCLAIN this city. Her untimely death is sincerely regretted by many friends here.

Page 2, Column 4FUNERAL SERVICE HELD TOMORROW
The remains of Mrs. Bert CHUBBUCK who died Tuesday at her home in Chamberlain, South Dakota, arrived in this city this noon and were taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Smith on West Washington street, who were intimate friends of the deceased. The remains were accompanied by the bereaved husband.
The funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 oclock at the Smith home and Rev. Thomas Osborn, pastor of the Methodist church will have charge of the services. The interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. CHUBBUCK was formerly Miss Julia McLANE of this city and scores of friends here will sincerely mourn her death.

Word was received in this city Tuesday night of the death of Mrs. Bert CHUBBUCK which had occurred that afternoon at her home in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Her death followed the birth of a baby girl. Mrs. CHUBBUCK was formerly Miss Julia McLANE of this city and her aged mother and one brother, John McLANE, still reside here. She was married June 2, 1906. The body will be brought here for interment and the funeral party will probably arrive today.

'Bert' CHUBBUCK had been widowed by his first wife, Lucia. Julia was his second wife, and he subsequently married Sarah E. TEMPLIN in 1911. He died in 1941 in South Dakota and is buried there; Sarah survived him and died in CA in 1971.
