DEATHS

CHRISTY, Daniel W.--At the county home, Tuesday, December 7, at the age of sixty-five years.

Death was directly due to an attack of bronchitis although Mr. CHRISTY had long been virtually helplessly crippled with paralysis and rheumatism.

Circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. CHRISTY are particularly saddening. For years he was making his home in this city with a private family but had become such a charge that he could no longer be cared for there. He made futile efforts to secure a ground floor home at one of the several towns surrounding this city but was finally compelled to accept the hospitality of the county home, where he went about six weeks before his death.

When the attack of bronchitis came and it was seen that there was little chance for his recovery because of his undernourished condition, Mr. and Mrs. Liming intended having him taken to the hospital. Mr. CHRISTY demurred, however, and said that he had been treated so kindly where he was that he wished to remain and that nothing more could be done for him at the hospital than was already being done.

The body is being held for burial awaiting advices of relatives. A sister lives in Rochelle, N. Y., another in Des Moines, and a brother in Minneapolis.
