Services for Walter E. CHAPUIS, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home. the Rev. John DeMain will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Walter E. CHAPUIS was born Jan. 15, 1890, in Cedar Township, the son of Peter P. and Mary DROZ CHAPUIS. He was married to Lucile F. COMINGORE Sept. 30, 1922, in Memphis, Mo. She survives.
CHAPUIS had lived his entire life in Jefferson County and had farmed in the Glasgow Community prior to his retirement. He had been in failing health for about three months before his death.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons, Edward, Elgin, Ill., and Leo E., New London; a daughter, Edna WELLS, Garland, Texas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Charlie JOHNSTON, Memphis, Mo.
CHAPUIS was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

We wish to thank Drs. Egli and Hill, also nurses, nurses aides, and entire hospital staff for their kindness and services during the three different times our husband and father was hospitalized; also Mrs. Ann Roth and Mrs. Hellkamp, nurses aides, and other ladies who helped in his care at home. Thanks also to neighbors and friends for lovely cards, and many other expressions of sympathy following his death.
