BIRMINGHAM -- Friends have received word of the death of Mrs. Mary A. SMOCK of 1644 Park, Lansing, Mich., who died at a local hospital there Friday, June 27.
Mrs. SMOCK will be remembered locally as Mary FISHER, daughter of the late Snowden FISHER, who formerly lived in the Fairfield and Birmingham areas.
She had been a resident of Lansing for the past 45 years, where she owned and operated The Classique Beauty Shop and was past president of the local branch of the National Hairdressers Association.
Surviving are her husband Harold, one son, one granddaughter and one niece. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Frances HARRIS, Lansing.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the Jessen Funeral Home with interment in the Deepdale Memorial Park (note: in Lansing, MI).

Mary and second husband Harold were married in Indiana in 1938.
