H. Gail CAVINESS, native of Jefferson County, died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient for approximately one year.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. The Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Gail CAVINESS was born Feb. 21, 1893, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of John F. and Clara RENO STANSFORD (sic - STANFORD).
Her marriage to Manley (sic - Mandley) C. CAVINESS took place Feb. 24, 1912, in Fairfield. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 8, 1952. Mrs. CAVINESS was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Manley C. "Jack" CAVINESS, Jr., Long Beach, Calif., and Paul E. CAVINESS, Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Maxine "Pat" CAMPBELL, Fairfield; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a sister, Katie MYERS, Fairfield.
