MRS. CAVINESS DIED YESTERDAY
Parsons Rebaters Have Affir- At 3:30 From the Home, 500 E. Stone (sic)

Mrs. Ella CAVINESS, wife of Robert M. CAVINESS, for many years a successful teacher in the Jefferson county schools, passed away yesterday afternoon about 11:30 oclock at the home, 500 East Stone, after a week's illness with double pneumonit (sic). She has been in very poor health all winter but her condition was not serious until her last illness.

Mrs. CAVINESS was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William BARRINGER and was born May 27, 1852 in Aenon, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Mr. CAVINESS, August 6, 1883, and he is left to mourn her passing. One daughter, Mrs. H. A. KESSINGER of Rome, and a sister, Mrs. A. R. TRACY of Los Angeles, California, survive.

Mrs. CAVINESS was a devoted christian, being a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. Prior to her marriage she was a successful school teacher.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 oclock from the family home in charge of Rev. A. L. Miller of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Ottumwa. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. R. M. CAVINESS FUNERAL HERE TODAY

The funeral services for Mrs. R. M. CAVINESS, who died at her home, 500 East Stone Tuesday forenoon at 11:30 oclock after a weeks' illness with double pneumonia, were held this afternoon at 3:30 oclock at the home. Rev. A. L. Miller of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Ottumwa had charge of the services. The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.
