JOSIAH CARTER DEAD

The death of Josiah B. CARTER occurred last evening at 7:30 o'clock at the County Home after an illness of several months.

Mr. CARTER was born October 26, 1946, in Henderson county, Ill. He had made his home in Fairfield for almost forty-five years and had many friends here who will be sorry to learn of his death.

The funeral was held at three o'clock this afternoon at the Kerrick & Co Undertaking Parlors, and burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

John A. Raines and Rev. R. H Polly had charge of the services.

Josiah CARTER, an old resident of Fairfield, died at the County Farm Wednesday evening at 7:30. Funeral services were held at the Kerrick &o. (sic) Undertaking parlors at 3 p.m. yesterday, conducted by J. Raines and Rev. R. H. Polly.
