Page 2, Column 4MRS. CARMICHAEL DIES NEAR STOCKPORT
Mrs. Hugh CARMICHAEL, a former Fairfield resident, died last night at 10 o'clock at her home two miles north of Stockport, after an illness of two years, with leakage of the heart and other complications.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the home, the services being conducted by the Methodist minister of Stockport. The remains will then be brought to this city and interred in the Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. CARMICHAEL is survived by her mother, Mrs. Eliza McMULLEN, of this city, her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Roy CASTER of Indiana, and Elizabeth CARMICHAEL, who lives at home. She also leaves to mourn her loss a brother and three sisters, who are as follows: Wm. E. McMULLEN and Mrs. Cora CROWNER of Fairfield; Mrs. Effie MIRANDA, of Birmingham, and Mrs. Anna GUDGELL, of Rock Island, Ill.
Mrs. CARMICHAEL was a faithful member of the Methodist church. She bore her sufferings most patiently during her illness of two years, which showed her Christian spirit.
The greater part of her life has been spent in this city where she made many friends who will regret to learn of her passing. For several years Mr. CARMICHAEL was the proprietor of the West Side restaurant here, and about ten years ago moved to their farm near Stockport.

Mrs Mattie Bell McMULLEN CARMICHAEL, the daughter of William and Eliza McMULLEN was born Nov. 28th, 1873, near Farifield, Jefferson county Iowa, and departed this life Sept. 21st 1917, at 10:45 in the evening, after a lingering illness of two years.
She was united in marriage to O. D. (sic - O'Dell) TEETER on May 16th, 1894, and to this union was born one daughter, Gladys on March 1, 1895. She was united in marriage to Hugh CARMICHAEL of Fairfield, on June 11, 1902. and to this union was born one daughter, Elizabeth, on May 9, 1904.
She was converted and united with the church at Prairie Chapel in her girlhood days and about ten years ago transferred her membership to the Stockport M. E. church, remaining a faithful member of the same until her death. she was a kind and affectionate mother and to know her was to love her.
She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband and daughter Elizabeth at home, Mrs. Gladys CASTER and husband of Massillon, Ohio, and mother of Fairfield, three sisters, Mrs. Cora CROWNER of near Fairfield, Mrs. Anna GUDGELL of Rock Island, Ill, Ill.; (sic) Mrs. Effie MIRANDI (sic) of Birmingham, one brother, William of Fairfield and a large circle of friends and neighbors.
The funeral services were held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, from her late home northeast of Stockport being conducted by Rev. J. W. Stine of Burlington, Iowa. Interment was in the cemetery at Fairfield.

Mrs. Hugh CARMICHAEL passed away Friday night at her home near Stockport, after an illness of two years with leakage of the heart.
Martha McMULLEN daughter of William and Eliza McMULLEN, was born in this county on the 27th of November 1873, and grew to womanhood in this vicinity. She was married in this city to Hugh CARMICHAEL, who with two daughters, Mrs. Gladys CASTER of Indiana and Elizabeth CARMICHAEL, at home survives her. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Eliza McMULLEN of this city, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Sabbath morning from the home, conducted by the pastor of the M. E. church at Stockport and the body was broght (sic) to this city for interment in Evergreen cemetery.
