Rites Friday For J. W. CARMICHAEL

John William CARMICHAEL, resident of Fairfield for the past eight years, was found dead about 8:15 p.m. last night at his home, 708 S. Depot street.

He had been in failing health for the past several years but his death was considered sudden. His body was found by his wife after he had been dead for about an hour.

Last rites will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. L. L. Weis in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

John William CARMICHAEL, 73, was born April 9, 1880, near Fairfield in Jefferson county. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William CARMICHAEL. He was reared and educated in Jefferson county before moving to Algona. He later returned to Libertyville and moved to Fairfield eight years ago after retiring as a farmer.

Besides his wife he is survived by one brother, James CARMICHAEL, Fairfield, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and his parents. He was the youngest of a family of seven children.
