Page SIX, Column 8LIBERTYVILLE FARMER DIES
Alex CARMICHAEL, 79, farmer living six miles southeast of Libertyville, died suddenly at his home at 6:30 a.m. today. His death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in failing health for the past two and a half years.
Mr. CARMICHAEL was born April 18, 1867, in Van Buren county, the son of the late William and Mary ALEXANDER CARMICHAEL. His wife preceded him in death December 16, 1943.
He is survived by the following children: Ralph, Birmingham; Mrs. Jennie NELSON, Chicago; Mrs. Clare BUCHANAN, Kansas City. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two brothers, Bill and Jim, both of Fairfield. One daughter preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.

Funeral services for Alex CARMICHAEL will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. CARMICHAEL died suddenly Thursday morning at his home near Libertyville.
