CARLSON Rites At Cemetery

Graveside services will be held Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery for Elmer Gust CARLSON, 86, native of Fairfield who died Friday at Colfax.

The graveside services wll be at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Monte Lenwood. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Walters Funeral Home in Colfax.

CARLSON moved to Colfax in 1940 where he operated the Grand Hotel for 18 years. He then moved to Indianola where he made his home until three months ago when he entered the Gardner Custodial Home in Colfax.

Elmer Gust CARLSON was born April 4 (sic - 5), 1885, in Fairfield and lived in this community until he moved to Colfax. His marriage to Jesse JOHNSON took place Feb. 4, 1909, in Fairfield. She died in May, 1964.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Glenn PICKETT, Des Moines, also three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
