Mrs. Raymond CARL, 51, 504 S. Sixth, died Saturday about 8:40 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient one day. Her death followed an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Baptist Church with the Rev. Hubert Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at 9 a.m.
Pauline CARL was born July 11, 1917, in Fairfield, the daughter of Emmett and Caldona GRIFFITH SCHLARBAUM. She was reared and educated in Fairfield, graduating from the Fairfield High School in 1935.
She was united in marriage on Jan. 11, 1941, to Raymond CARL who survives. Mrs. CARL was a member of the Baptist Church and served as a Gray Lady for the Jefferson County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Mike LANGAN, Fairfield; and Pat CARL, Louisville, Ky.; and a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Angela) HOFF, Macomb, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Other survivors include her parents; three brothers, Donald, Omaha; Phillip, Fond Du Lac (sic - Fond du Lac), Wis.; and Ronald, Loveland, Colo.
