DEATH CLAIMS LOCAL WOMAN

Mrs. Etta M. CARBAUGH, 77, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, passed away Sunday afternoon at her home, 705 W. Stone street. Her death, which came at 4 p.m., followed a serious illness of several months.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. CARBAUGH was the widow of the late Joseph F. CARBAUGH who was connected with the Fairfield post office for 26 years prior to his death on January 23, 1923.

Etta M. CARBAUGH was born January 15, 1872, at Salina, the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna ERICKSON FREEBURG. She was united in marriage on May 8, 1908, to Joseph F. CARBAUGH in Fairfield.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary PETERSON, Fairfield; and Mrs. Clara ERICKSON, Sioux City. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
