RICHARD CARBAUGH DIED HERE TODAY.

Richard CARBAUGH, a well known resident of Fairfield, died at three o'clock this afternoon at his home on West Kirkwood street.

A few days ago Mr. CARBAUGH suffered a stroke of apoplexy which later resulted in his death. His aged wife and two children, Joe CARBAUGH and Mrs. C. E. KRUEGER survive him.

The hour of the funeral services has not yet been definitely decided but it will be held some time Monday.

CARBAUGH FUNERAL WAS HELD MONDAY.

The funeral services over the remains of Richard CARBAUGH, who died Saturday afternoon at his home on West Kirkwood street, was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock at the home. Dr. Thomas Osborne, pastor of the First Methodist church, conducted the services and the interrment took place in Evergreen cemetery.

The last services were well attended inspite (sic) of the terrible snow storm which raged all day. A number of out-of-town relatives and friends were here and scores of old friends braved the storm to pay their last tribute of respect to Mr. CARBAUGH.

Richard CARBAUGH.

Richard CARBAUGH died at his home on West Kirkwood street at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 1912, death being caused by apoplexy.

Mr. CARBAUGH had been in poor health for the last two years but his condition was never serious during this time. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn., March 31st, 1843, and came to this county with his parents in 1855. On November 1st, 1864, he was united in marriage with Harriet MILLER, who survives him, together with two children, Joseph F., of this city and Alpha Alice of near Libertyville. Besides these he leaves two brothers, Thomas, of Fall City, Wash., and Joseph of Rupert, Idaho, two sisters, Mrs. Lynnie THOMPSON, of Kirbyville, Mo., and Mrs. E. B. MULKINS of this city, and many friends to mourn his loss.

Mr. CARBAUGH was a man who had many friends who held him in high regard. Politically, he was a staunch Democrat, and never wavered in his faith in the party.

Funeral services were held from the home in West Kirkwood street Monday afternoon, March 18th, Rev. Thos. Osborn officiating, and burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
