This Morning at The Jefferson County Hospital; Funeral Not ArrangedMrs. Manley CALHOUN, residing 5 miles south of the city, who was so severely burned Tuesday morning when a can of kerosene with which she was re-lighting a fire in the stove, exploded and threw burning oil all over her, died this morning about 5 oclock in the Jefferson county hospital where she was taken following the accident.
Mrs. CALHOUN who was formerly Miss Emma LATHROP was 29 years old. She is survived by her husband and little son Manley John, Jr. Also her father, Jasper LATHROP and the following brothers and sisters: Arthur Lewis of Kansas City, Mo., Joe LATHROP of Fairfield, Ed. LATHROP of Davenport, Fred LATHROP of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Thomas LEE, Mrs. George MANLEY and Mrs. Jacob THOMPSON of Fairfield.
The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where the funeral arrangements are being made.

... --Charles LEE, the 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom LEE, 610 West Van Buren street, was quite badly burned about his face, arms and legs while attempting to put out the flames when his aunt, Mrs. Manley CALHOUN, was fatally burned in a kerosene explosion Tuesday morning.

Funeral services for Mrs. Manley CALHOUN, who died yesterday morning from burns incurred when a can of kerosene exploded in her hands at her home 5 miles south of the city, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home. Rev. W. H. McDonald of the Free Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
