Mrs. Martha BYRKIT a well known former resident of this city, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George DIXON in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Saturday morning. Her death was due to paralysis.
The remains were brought to this city this morning. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock in the Methodist church in charge of Rev. W. R. Keesey. Interment will be made in Evergreen cmetery (sic).

Page 3, Column 3FUNERAL OF MARTHA E. BYRKIT HELD TUESDAY
The funeral services for Mrs. Martha E. BYRKIT were held from the First Methodist church at 3:00 p.m. yesterday, in charge of Rev. W. R. Keesey. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
Martha E. HALL, a daughter of William and Hannah HALL, was born in Madison, Ind., August 1, 1839. When she was 16 years of age, she moved with her parents to this city and resided her (sic - here) until about a year ago, when on account of ill health, she went to live with her daughter in Oklahoma.
On July 4th, 1861, she was united in marriage to Archie BYRKIT, who preceded her in death a few months ago. Four children were born to this union, two of whom died in childhood. Those surviving her are Mrs. George DIXON and Mrs. Tola GODDAN (sic - GOODMAN), both of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. BYRKIT was a resident of this city for sixty-one years and was planning to return to make her home here when she suffered a stroke of paralysis on June 4th.
Mrs. BYRKIT passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George DIXON Saturday morning and the remains were brought here Monday morning accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. George DIXON and Mrs. Tola GODDAN (sic - GOODMAN).

Mrs. Martha BYRKIT, widow of the late A. R. BYRKIT, died at the age of seventy-eight years last Saturday at the home of her daughter at Tulsa, Okla. Death was due to paralysis.
Mrs. BYRKIT was residing only temporarily with her daughter and expected to return to Fairfield. The body was brought to this city and funeral services were held Tuesday at the Methodist church.
