DEATH CLAIMS GLEN BURROWS

Glen E. BURROWS, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away about 1:30 a.m. this morning at his home, 615 W. Jackson street. Although he had been ill for the past two or three weeks, his death last night was considered sudden.

BURROWS spent most of his life in the Fairfield community and was night watchman at the Fairfield Glove company for several years.

Glen E. BURROWS, 49, was born Dec. 5, 1902, in Kansas. He moved to Fairfield when a small child and spent the rest of his life here. He was united in marriage on Feb. 2, 1924, to Hazel Elsie SMITH who survives. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Glenn E. BURROWS, Jr., who is serving in the merchant marines; and one daughter, Mrs. Norma GRIFFIN, Fairfield.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and his mother, Mrs. Arthur VEATCH, Coatsville, Mo.; two brothers, Clyde BURROWS, Aurora, Colorado, and Earl BURROWS, Moulton, Ia.; and one sister, Mrs. Lewis COLVIN, North Liberty, Ia.

He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter and three brothers.

The body is at the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.

BURROWS Funeral Will Be Saturday Afternoon

Last rites for Glen BURROWS, well known Fairfield resident, will be Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

The services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
