G. E. BURROWS DIED THURSDAY, CENTERVILLE
Funeral services Saturday, 2 p.m. at Free Methodist church

George E. BURROWS, a long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away Thursday evening at the home of his son, Earl BURROWS, in Centerville. He had been in ill health for the past year and one-half.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Free Methodist church in Fairfield. Rev. C. F. Chitty will be in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Surviving Mr. BURROWS are his wife, Lollie, three sons, Earl BURROWS of Centerville, Clyde BURROWS of Denver, Colo., and Glenn BURROWS of Fairfield, and one daughter, Mrs. Lewis COLVIN on Fairfield. One step-sister, Mrs. Hazel WIRT of Fairfield also survives. He was preceded in death by three sons, Gary, Kenneth and Leonard.

Funeral Services for G. E. BURROWS On Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services for George E. BURROWS, who passed away in Centerville Thursday evening, will be held at the Free Methodist church in Fairfield Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. C. F. Chitty will be in charge, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. BURROWS, who had been in poor health for the past year and a half, passed away at the home of a son, Earl BURROWS ,in Centerville (sic).

To All Whom It May Concern:

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of George BURROWS, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Saturday, October 5th A. D. 1940 at 9:30 o'clock A. M. has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said Court, this 9th day of September, 1940.

All the property of the late George BURROWS was left to his wife, Lillie BURROWS, according to the will on file in the Clerk's office. Mrs. BURROWS was named executor of her late husband's estate. ...

First wife was Eliza Jane SAMMONS, married Dec. 20, 1888, who died June 11, 1895, along with an infant, and was buried in Wayland, Henry Co., IA. Second wife was Lillie M. RODGERS MACE, married Jan. 16, 1896.
