MRS. J. BERG (sic) DIES SUDDENLY
Funeral will be Monday At 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church Here

Mrs. Mary BERG (sic - BURKE), 68-year-old wife of Joseph BERG (sic), died suddenly last evening at 10:00 oclock at the family home about 5 miles north of Fairfield where she had lived for the past 40 years.

She is survived by the following children:

Frank, of Fairfield; John of Chicago; Felix of Georgetown, Ga. Joseph, of Des Moines; Mrs. Le Roy HENDRICKS of Fairfield; Mrs. Don GREESON, of Newton; Mrs. C. SAMUELS of Sigourney; Mrs. Lon BAKER of Washington; and Mrs. J. S. McDERMITT of Peoria. She also leaves two sisters Mrs. Joe DONNS (sic - DOWNS) of Yellow Grass Canada; and Mrs. Helen T. BORSKI (sic - Miss Helen IVORSKI) of Pleasant Plain.

The funeral services will be held no Monday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic church in Fairfield, in charge of Rev. Father T. F. Gaule (sic - E. F. Gaule). Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body is now at the Hoskins funeral home here.

Mrs. Joseph BURKE Funeral is Held At St. Mary's Here

Last funeral services for Mrs. Mary BURKE, wife of Joseph BURKE, were held this morning at St. Mary's Catholic church in Fairfield in chargge (sic) of Rev. Father E. F. Gaule. Burial was in the city section of Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BURKE died suddenly last Friday evening at her home north of Fairfield. She is survived by the following children: Frank of Fairfield; John of Chicago; Felix of Georgetown, Ga.; Joseph, of Des Moines; Mrs. LeRoy HENDRICKS of Fairfield; Mrs. C. SAMUELS, of Sigourney; Mrs. Don GREESON of Newton; Mrs. Don BAKER of Washington; Mrs. J. S. McDERMITT of Peoria.

She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Joe DOWNS of Yellow Grass, Canada, and Miss Helen IVORSKI of Pleasant Plain, Iowa.

Note: Buried in Lot 3rd.173. She is noted as being born in 1866 on her gravestone, however her Death Certificate gives her birthdate as July 6, 1867, and age at death of 66 years, 7 months, and 26 days, dying on March 2 at 10 p.m. of cerebral hemorrhage. Husband Joseph died in 1943 and is buried with her.
