Sunday morning he appeared better but was taken with a coughing spell about twelve o'clock and passed away without any warning.

Mr. BUCK was born near this city February 22, 1878 and grew to manhood here. On February 7, 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret SAPPENFIELD in this city. To them were born four children, Gale, Neil, Elizabeth and Ruth who with their mother are left to fight the battles of this world.

Mr. BUCK recently purchased the Carl blacksmith and machine shop in New Chicago and was just building up a nice little trade for himself when he was taken ill.

He was a member of the First Methodist church and was a young man well known and respected in this vicinity.

The bereaved wife is heart broken for another sorrow is added to her already heavy load. Her mother, Mrs. William SAPPENFIELD lies at her home on North Main street in a serious condition with an attack of the same dreaded disease(.) Her death is momentarily expected.

Much sympathy is being extended to Mrs. BUCK and her family during this time.
