BUCHER Funeral Will Be Tuesday

Mrs. Peter BUCHER, resident of the Beckwith Community, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health the past year and seriously ill the past 10 days.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie BUCHER, 77, was born April 17, 1891, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Scott and Eliza WILLIAMS McCORMICK. She was reared and educated in Jefferson County and was married to Peter BUCHER on Dec. 3, 1914, at Mount Pleasant.

She was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church and WSCS, Eastern Star and served as secretary of the Midwest Old Settlers Association at Mount Pleasant for ten years. Mrs. BUCHER was also a charter member of the Good Cheer Society.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. BUCHER is survived by one son, Clarence, of Perry, Iowa, one daughter, Mrs. Dell ROBINSON, Fairfield; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Guy and Glenn McCORMICK, both of Fairfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie SCHWARM, Chicago; Mrs. Mary McWHIRTER and Mrs. Florence LIBLIN, both of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
