Clare CARMICHAEL BUCHANAN

Clare CARMICHAEL BUCHANAN, 96, of Parkview Care Center, died at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1994, at Parkview.

No service is scheduled. The body will be cremated and the remains buried in Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Care Center Activity Fund. Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. BUCHANAN was born July 22, 1897, in Cedar Township of Jefferson County, the daughter of Alex and Elizabeth HIESEL CARMICHAEL. She lived on a farm in her early childhood and the family later moved to Fairfield. She married Verl C. BUCHANAN on May 22, 1918, in Fairfield. They lived in Cody, Wyo., and Kansas City, Mo. She had lived at Parkview Care Center since Dec. 10, 1980.

Surviving are a son, Verl C. of Beaverton, Ore.; a daughter, Cathleen LARIMER of Woodland Park, Colo.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Jenny NELSON, Lorene BUCHANAN; a brother, Ralph CARMICHAEL; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
