... Charley, the ten-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. David BUCHANAN, died Monday at six o'clock of diphtheria. A boy fourteen years old has the same disease.

... Libertyville-

... Charlie, the 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave BUCHANAN, died Monday evening of diphtheria. Short funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, and the remains taken to Fairfield for burial. Another son is sick with the same disease, but is reported better at this writing. Many friends of Mr. and Mrs. BUCHANAN sympathize with them in this great sorrow.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.070. Charlie was the son of David Laird BUCHANAN and his first wife Clara Elva BROWN BUCHANAN. He is noted on his parents' gravestone, however the death year is shown as 1912. Per the above obituaries and his death record, he died in 1908.
