Mrs. BUCHANAN Taken In Death

Mrs. Dave BUCHANAN, long-time resident of the Fairfield community and a retired rural school teacher, died abut 7 a.m. this morning at her home, 201 E. Broadway.

Mrs. BUCHANAN suffered a heart ailment a few weeks ago for which she was hospitalized several days. Her condition improved and she was returned to her home.

The body is at the Raymond Funeral home where last rites are pending.

Bird BUCHANAN, 87, was born Sept. 30, 1874, in Fairfield, the daughter of John and Kate FULLER. She was reared and educated in this community and spent most all her life here.

She started her teaching career when only 17 years of age at Chandler school located about three miles northeast of Fairfield. She later taught in several other Jefferson county rural schools as well as in Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Dave BUCHANAN who preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1958. She is survived by several relatives including several step-children.

BUCHANAN Rites To Be Thursday

Last rites for Mrs. Dave BUCHANAN will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Elton Coleman in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BUCHANAN, the former Bird FULLER, died at her home Monday morning after suffering a heart attack several days ago.

Mrs. BUCHANAN is survived by the following step-children: Mrs. N. E. CRAWFORD, Stockport; Melvin and Ray, both of Cody, Wyo.; Albert, Greybull, Wyo.; Floyd, Missoula, Mont., and Harold, Fairfield.

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
