Robert BAINBRIDGE

Robert Eugene BAINBRIDGE, 77, 306 E. Kirkwood Ave., died at 11:02 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to youth programs at either Fairfield Elks Lodge or Fairfield Lions Club.

Mr. BAINBRIDGE was born March 4, 1928, in Ottumwa, the son of John and Marie Gail BAINBRIDGE. He married Dorothy BARBER Sept. 12, 1948, in Libertyville.

He grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy Pacific theater during World War II onboard a naval destroyer.

He moved with his wife to Fairfield in 1952. He worked with his father-in-law at Fairfield Glass Company.

He was a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge and Eagles Club.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mic BAINBRIDGE and wife Pam of Birmingham, Tony BAINBRIDGE of Abingdon and Jim BAINBRIDGE and wife J.D. of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
