LAURA BROWN DIED IN WYOMING
Sister Of Mrs. Harriet HES-HESTON (sic) of This City; Body To Be Brought Here

Mrs. Laura BROWN passed away at the Evanston hospital in Evanston, Wyoming, early today according to a telegram received here this morning by relatives. Her sister, Mrs. Harriet HESTON, 700 West Hempstead, left yesterday afternoon on Burlington No. 9, for Evanston, but did not reach there before her death. The remains will be brought to this city for burial but complete arrangement have not as yet been made.

Mrs. BROWN was a former resident here but for a number of years she has been employed in Evanston where she has made her home. Besides her sister Mrs. Harriet HESTON she is survived by a niece here, Mrs. R. R. ELDER.

BROWN FUNERAL HERE TOMORROW
Will Be Held At The Christian Church In Charge Of Rev. Polly

The funeral services for Mrs. Laura BROWN, who died Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock at the hospital in Evanston, Wyo., will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clck (sic) from the Christian church in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly. Burial will take place in the Evergreen cemetery.

The remains were brought to this city yesterday afternoon on Burlington Train No. 9 and were taken to the F. D. Kerrick undertaking parlors. The body was accompanied here by a son George BROWN of Brock, Neb., and Mrs. Harriet HESTON of this city, a half sister, who was called there by her illness but reached Evanston eleven hours after her death.

Mrs. BROWN was born in Cleveland, Ohio, 76 years ago this month. She is the widow of Lathan (sic - Nathan) BROWN and is survived by two sons George BROWN of Brock, Neb., and Henry BROWN of Albia. She also leaves two half sisters and two half brothers: Mrs. HarTriet (sic) HESTON of this cty (sic), Mrs. Libby MOHLER of Northport, Wash., Lew STILES of San Antonio, Texas and Edward STILES of Oakland, Calif. Also a niece Mrs. Ransom ELDER, 4 miles west of the city.

Mrs. Laura BROWN was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1848, and died at Evanston, Wyo., January 8, 1924, at the age of 76 years.

She was the widow of Lathan (sic) BROWN. She is survived by two sons, George BROWN of Brock, Nebr., and H. S. Brown of Albia, Iowa. She also leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Harriett HESTON of Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. Libby MOHLER of Northport, Washington, Lew STILES of San Antonio, Texas, and Edward STILES of Oakland, Calif., seven grandchildren and a niece, Mrs. Ransom ELDER.

About forty years ago she united with the Christian church and was devoted to the faith.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
