Katherine BROWN Dies Suddenly

Katherine BROWN, 84, collapsed and died Friday in the parking lot at the Giant Food Store. She was on her way home had been employed at Roxy's Ready-To-Wear store (sic).

She was rushed by ambulance to the Jefferson County Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m.

Last rites will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Katherine BROWN was born July 7, 1886, in Fairfield, the daughter of W. S. and Martha SHOULTZ COOK. She was reared and educated in Fairfield.

She married Frank A. BROWN Aug. 2, 1910 in Fairfield. She from her work at Roxy's Ready-To-Wear for about 20 years (sic). She attended the Methodist Church. Her husband passed away March 31, 1947.

Mrs. BROWN is survived by one nephew, W. C. EMRY, Fairfield. She was also preceded in death by one sister.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Katherine BROWN, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Katherine BROWN, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 17th day of November, 1970, the Last Will and Testament of Katherine BROWN deceased bearing date of the 10th day of October, 1963, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that William C. EMRY was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of his notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
