Mrs. Henry BROWN Succumbs At 87

Mrs. Henry S. BROWN, a resident of Fairfield for more than 80 years, died at 9:40 a.m. today at her home at 202 N. Sixth St. She was 87.

Mrs. BROWN had been in failing health for several years. She was born on a farm west of Fairfield April 29, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William MOORMAN.

She was married to Henry S. BROWN in 1935. Surviving are her husband, a step-son, Harold R. BROWN, Fairfield, Fairfield (sic), and a step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret LONG, Moline, Ill. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. One brother is deceased.

Mrs. BROWN was a member of the First Methodist church, Pythian Sisters and Daughters of Union Veterans.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home. Services are pending.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot SDof17-007. Hattie was married three times; first husband was Henry S. BROWN, from whom she was divorced and he subsequently remarried. Second marriage was to Edwin Harvey DAVIS, who passed away in 1930, as did Henry's second wife. Hattie and Henry then remarried each other, it being the third marriage for each of them. Hattie and both husbands are buried in the same lot, she between them and noted on both husbands' stones.
