Henry BROWN Rites Monday

Henry S. BROWN, 89, retired Fairfield barber, died Friday at Moline, Ill., after a serious illness of several months. He had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Rex LONG, since 1957.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church in charge of Dr. J. Henry Teele. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Weston Behner Funeral home to the church at 1 p.m.

BROWN was born April 16, 1871 at Fairfield. He resided in this community for 50 years. He was married to Kate MOCK in 1904. She died in 1930 and in 1935 he was married to Hattie DAVIS. She preceded him in death June 6, 1956.

BROWN was a member of the First Methodist church and the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 37. Surviving are a son, Harold R. BROWN, Fairfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Rex LONG, Moline, Ill. Two grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

Notice Is Hereby Given, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Executor of the estate of Henry S. BROWN deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.

Note: Buried in Lot SDof17-007. Henry was married three times. The first was to Hattie B. MOORMAN, and they subsequently divorced. Henry married second to Katherine MOCK who died in 1930. Meantime, Hattie had remarried to Edwin DAVIS, who also died in 1930. In 1935 Henry and Hattie married each other again.
