Mrs. Ralph M. BROWN passed away at hospital Sunday morningMrs. Ralph M. BROWN, 58, resident of this community for the past 27 years, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital Sunday morning at 1:13 a.m. She had been seriously ill for the past five weeks.
Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. A. P. Keast. He will be assisted by Rev. U. S. Smith, former pastor of the First Methodist church in Fairfield. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. BROWN was born May 31, 1884, in Henderson county, Ill., the daughter of the late John and Agnes KELLY. She was united in marriage to Ralph M. BROWN on October 11, 1905.
She had lived in Fairfield for the past 27 years. The family residence is at 704 South Third street.
Mrs. BROWN is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. George R. SMITH and Lola J. BROWN of Kewanee, Ill.; Mrs. A. B. LISTON, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and Mrs. Lee JOHNSON, Fairfield.
Four sons survive. They are J. Vernon BROWN, Kewanee, Ill.; R. Burnell BROWN, Peoria, Ill.; Pvt. Dale BROWN, U. S. Marines, San Diego, Calif.; and Robert BROWN, Fairfield.
Three brothers, John E. KELLY, Langley, Wash.; Will KELLY, Kos Angeles, Calif.; Owen KELLY, Kirkwood, Ill.; and five sisters, Mrs. O. E. GETTEMY, Monmouth, Ill.; Mrs. Harry HADLEY, Beardstown, Ill.; Mrs. Charles CRAWFORD, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. James GRANT, Auburn, Nebr.; and Mrs. John DUCHARDT, Canton, Ill., also survive.
The surviving grandchildren are Dixon, Judith and Robert SMITH; Bradey and Allen JOHNSON, and Bonnie LISTON.
