Page 12, Column 4H. BROOKS dies at 74
Herbert William BROOKS, 74, Route 2, died at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since May 13.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home. The Rev. Keith Lingwall will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Herbert William BROOKS was born Dec. 20, 1904, at Shirley, Ind., the son of Charles and Addie MILLER BROOKS.
He married Dora VOELLER March 18, 1924, in Monmouth, Ill. They lived in Illinois until they moved to the Richwoods Community, northeast of Fairfield in 1942 where they farmed. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Lucille NORCROSS, Orion, Ill., and Lois FRY, Kirkland, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil BROOKS, Nanuet, N.Y., and Orville BROOKS, Rock Island, Ill.; and a sister, Eunice BROOKS, Stony Point, N.Y.
BROOKS was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

We are especially grateful to the staff of the Jefferson County Hospital, the doctors of the Fairfield Clinic, all the pastors, especially Rev. Lingwall, Raymond Funeral Home, and the ladies of the Esther Unit. We know God will bless you all in a very special way.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 19TH DAY OF JUNE, 1979, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HERBERT WILLIAM BROOKS DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 12TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1953, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT DORA V. BROOKS WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.
