Mrs. Adra BROADWELL

FAIRFIELD -- Mrs. Adra ELDER-FRESHWATER-BROADWELL, 49, a former resident of Fairfield, died Sept. 10 in a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. She had undergone surgery a week before.

A native of Luas county, Mrs. BROADWELL was born March 6, 1905, the daughter of Hugh and Flora ELDER. The family moved to Fairfield while she was in infancy. She attended Fairfield schools and was married, to William FRESHWATER (sic - James William FRESHWATER). They were divorced, and she was married to Milton BROADWELL. Mr. and Mrs. BROADWELL operated restaurants in various California points until a few years ago, when they opened a restaurant at Anchorage.

Besides her husband, Mrs. BROADWELL is survived by a son, Dr. Billy FRESHWATER, Los Angeles, and her mother, Mrs. Walter EDWARDS, 802 West Stone street, Fairfield.

Mrs. Milton BROADWELL

FAIRFIELD -- Last rites for 49-year-old Mrs. Milton BROADWELL, who died Sept. 10 at Anchorage, Alaska, will be held at the Hoskins funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday.

Dr. Edward A. Piper, pastor of First Lutheran church, will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
