BRIER, Mary E.--Daughter of William and Priscella BRIER, was born near Rome, Iowa, March 9, 1857. She passed away at the home of Mrs. E. M. West, March 14, 1921.

In early womanhod (sic) she met with an accident that caused her to be a great sufferer the rest of her life.

She bore her suffering patiently, never complaining. Kind friends tenderly cared for her in her last hours. Her sweet influence is felt on the lives of those who knew her well.

So let us leave her with a smile,
To greet her in the afterwhile,
When God's bright stars light up the sky,
To read the message He would tell;
Our loved one sleeps, and all is well.
