Page FIVE, Column 6ALBERT BRIER PASSES AWAY
Albert James BRIER, 75, a retired barber, passed away yesterday evening at 7:00 p.m. at his home, 105 East Lowe Street. He had been in poor health the past several years.
Mr. BRIER was born January 18, 1870. He began the barber trade when 18 years of age and worked in the South Side Barber Shop for 24 years then was forced to retire due to ill health.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hoskins Funeral Home with Rev. A. P. Keast officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
He leaves to survive, besides his wife, three sons: Leslie and Earl of Bonaparte, and Glen, Washington, D. C.; one daughter, Mrs. John WALTZ, Orient, Iowa; two step-daughters, Mrs. R. F. WOODHULL, Rockville Center, Long Island and Mrs. Charles W. DeMOSS, Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Roy JUNKIN of Fairfield. One daughter, Mrs. Ralph BATES died in 1916 and a sister, Mrs. Florence SARGENT passed away 6 years ago.

...--Mr. and Mrs. J. R. ADAMSON of Brooklyn, Iowa are spending a few days with his sister, Mrs. Albert BRIER, 105 E. Lowe St. Mrs. BRIER's daughter, Mrs. Charles W. DeMOSS of Cedar Rapids who attended the funeral of her father yesterday, has returned to her home.

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Albert J. BRIER, Deceased is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Friday, April 6, A. D. 1945 at 9:30 o'clock A. M. has been set for proof and final hearing of same.
Witness my hand and the seal of said Court, this 10th day of March, 1945.

Third wife Amy died in 1968 and is buried in Stuart, IA.
