Selma A. BOYD

The services for Selma A. BOYD, 86 (sic - 84), 105 E. Hempstead Ave., who died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 1993, at Ottumwa Manor in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA), will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Open visitation begins Thursday at the funeral home. family visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the service. Memorials have been established to American Legion Auxiliary and First Christian Church.

Mrs. BOYD was born April 9, 1907, in Davis County, the daughter of William H. and Minnie L. LILES HART. She married Ernest KELLEY on March 12, 1931. He died Sept. 9, 1973. In 1974, she married Webster BOYD. She was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Keep Young Club.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Everett KELLEY of Fairfield; a step-son, Mark BOYD of Freeport, Ill.; and four stepgrandchildren. A brother, Charles, two sisters, Ethel and Ruth, and a grandson preceded her in death.

Correction

Everett KELLEY of Fairfield is the stepson of Selma BOYD, who died Aug. 8. KELLEY was incorrectly identified in an obituary in the Aug. 10 Ledger.
