Mrs. Frank BOYD, 74, passed away last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. GREESON at 638 North Court street, Ottumwa. She had been making her home with her daughter for the past year and previous to that time resided 8 miles northwest of this city. She had been sick only a few days. Funeral services will be held from the Hoskins funeral home Monday at 2 oclock in charge of Rev. H. E. Butler. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. BOYD was preceded in death by her husband who died June 6, 1929. She leaves the one daughter and the following brothers and sister: W. B. WEST of Kimball, Neb.; F. L. WEST of Clarks, Neb.; Harry WEST of Spokane, Washington and Mrs. Emma FULTON of Beloit, Kans.

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary Helen BOYD, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson county, and that Saturday, January 31, A. D. 1931 at 2 oclock p.m., has been set for proof and final hearing of same.
Witness my hand and the seal of said Court this 6th day of January, 1931.

MARY HELEN BOYD
Mary Helen BOYD daughter of Ann and Anson WEST, was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, Jan. 25 1857, departed this life Jan. 2, 1931, aged 73 yrs. 11 months and 23 days.
Her entire life was lived in this neighborhood. When a young girl united with the Congregational church, later transferred her membership to M. E. church at Center. United in marriage to Frank J. BOYD March 4, 1875. To this union was born a daughter, Mrs. May GEASON (sic - GREESON) of Ottumwa Iowa, with whom she made her home, after the death of her husband in 1929. She was ill but a short time, all was done that skill and loving hands could do. She leaves to mourn their loss her daughter, Mrs. May GREASON (sic) one granddaughter, two grandsons and one great grandson.
A niece Mrs. Elsie FLEER had a home with her for many years. One sister Mrs. Emma FULTON of Kansas. Three brothers William and Frank of Nebraska Harry of Washington, two brothers two sisters with the parents preceded her in death.
Always a kind and beloved neighbor, always ready to do a kindness. We miss her, while our sympathy goes to the daughter.

MARY HELEN WEST
Mary Helen WEST was born in Jefferson county Iowa, Jan. 25, 1857 and departed this life in Ottumwa Iowa at the home of her daughter Mrs. W. E. GREESON, January 2, 1931, at the age of 73 years, 11 months, 7 days. She was united in marriage to Frank J. BOYD, March 4, 1875.
One child came to bless this union, Mrs. W. E. GREESON of Ottumwa, Iowa and she tenderly cared for her mother during her last illness.
Her home has been on a farm about 8 miles north of Fairfield for about 40 years and after her husband's death she made her home with her daughter in Ottumwa.
She leaves three brothers and one sister Frank T. WEST, of Clark Nebraska, W. S. WEST of Kimball, Nebraska, Harry WEST of Spokane, Washington, and Mrs. Emma FULTON of Beloit Kansas, three grandchildren Boyd GREESON, of Ottumwa, Iowa Mrs. Mabel CORNEILSON, of Otumwa (sic), Iowa and one great grandson Donald Keith CORNEILSON of Ottumwa.
She united with the Congregational church in early childhood and later transferred her membership in the Center M. E. church north of Fairfield Iowa.
Short funeral services were held at the W. E. GREESON home in Ottumwa and then services were conducted in the Hoskins Funeral Home by Rev. Harvey E. Butler of Batavia. The body was laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield.
