J. Carl BOOTH

J. Carl BOOTH 87, formerly of Fairfield, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, March 2, 1998, at his home in Yoder, Colo.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation, First Christian Church or Jefferson County Heart Association.

Mr. BOOTH was born in Fairfield April 21, 1910, the son of Frank and Mary KOONTZ BOOTH.

He married Mabel HICKS on Jan. 30, 1935, in Keosauqua.

Mr. BOOTH lived his entire life in Jefferson County. He was a self-employed farmer in Center Township. He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192.

Mr. BOOTH is survived by his wife of Fairfield; one son, Roland of Yoder; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maxine ANGSTEAD of Fairfield and Marie MILLER of Richland.

Preceeding (sic) him in death were his parents; one son Frank; and one brother, William "Bud."
