Death of Isaac BOOTH.

The death of Isaac BOOTH occurred on the 15th inst. at the residence of his soninlaw, E. A. BATES, one and one-half miles north of the city. He was taken sick with pneumonia on the Saturday previous, and suffered much pain during his brief illness. Mr. BOOTH was in the 58th year of his age. He was born in Carrollton, Ohio, removed to Illinois in early life and was married there. In 1863 he came to Jefferson county. He leaves six children, two sons and four daughters; their names are Laura BARR, Anna BATES, Fannie SHELTON, Minnie, Ernest and Frank He lived on a farm north of Fairfield for many years. For some time he has made his home in Illinois, coming here during the winter to visit his children. He came about six weeks ago on his last visit. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church Friday at 2 o'clock p.m., conducted by Rev. E. L. Schreiner, and the remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery.

Death of Isaac BOOTH.

Isaac BOOTH died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed. BATES, living northeast of town, Thursday morning, February 8th (sic - 15th), at twelve o'clock. Mr. BOOTH had been in good health till within three or four days before his death. On Monday previous he was obliged to be out in the heavy snow storm which visited this part of the country, and took a severe cold which ended in pneumonia. Mr. BOOTH was born in Carrollton, Carrol county, Ohio, in 1836 (sic - 1835). He was the father of seven children, all of whom except one are living. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by Rev. E. L. Schreiner.
