Mrs. BOOS Dies After Stroke

Mollie S. BOOS, 804 S. Third street, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital last night after she had been found unconscious in her home earlier in the evening. She had suffered a stroke some time during the day.

Neighbors noticed that the blinds at her windows had not been raised, and no lights came on in her home last evening. George Hemm, who lives next door, went in the house and found her on the floor in her bedroom. That was about 6 p.m.

Mrs. BOOS was taken to the Jefferson county hospital where she passed away about 9:30 p.m. She had been in failing health the past six weeks.

Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mollie S. BOOS, 80, was born Feb. 1, 1879, in Oswego, Kan., the daughter of Squire P. and Mary WRIGHT SMITH. She was reared and educated in Illinois.

She was united in marriage to John H. BOOS on Sept. 16, 1915, at Fairfield. He preceded his wife in death on Dec. 26, 1941.

Mrs. BOOS came to Fairfield in 1912. She taught in Illinois and Iowa, and was a member of the Christian church and the WCTU.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie JONES, Fairfield; and one niece, Mrs. Palmer HAWK of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
