Miss Katie Salome BOOS Died Following Extended IllnessMiss Katie Salone (sic) BOOS, life resident of Jefferson county, passed away at 8:30 o'clock last night at her home, 709 West Grimes street. She had been in popr (sic - poor) health for four months and was seriously ill for two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Lutheran church, in charge of Dr. W. F. Rex. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. The body is at the Hoskins Funeral Home.
Miss BOOS was born December 2, 1864, in Jefferson county. She had been a resident of this city for the past fifty years. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death.
The following brothers and sisters survive: Jahn and Louie BOOS and Mrs. Louise RUPP of Lockridge, May and Sadie BOOS and Mrs. Anna KELTNER of Fairfield.

KATIE BOOS
Katie BOOS daughter of John and Louise SHUPPY BOOS was born near Four Corners, Iowa, Dec. 2, 1864 and departed this life on March 3, 1933 at her home in Fairfield, Iowa, at the age of 68 years 9 months (sic - 3 months) and 1 day.
Her illness extended over 4 months during which time she was given every possible care.
She was baptized on July 30, 1865 in the Lutheran church and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the age of fourteen and remained in the same faith all her life, being at the time of her death a member of the Lutheran church at Fairfield of which church she was a charter member. She is survived by four sisters and two brothers, John and Lewis and Mrs. Louise RUPP of Lockridge and Mary, Sadie and Mrs. Anna KELTNER of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and three brothers, George, William and Jacob.
Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church on Monday March 6 at 2 o'clock p.m. conducted by Rev. W. F. Rex. A choir composed of Ray Mulkins Fred Messer and Mrs. Hattie Bates and Margaret Lesher sang "Abide With Me" and "Nearer (sic)
The pall bearers were Harry Clarence and William BOOS, Floyd KELTNER, Glen and Carl RUPP all nephews of the deceased. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery.
