BONNETT FUNERAL OCCURS TOMORROW

Mrs. Matilda BONNETT passed away at two o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Kate LAWSON on East Burlington street. Mrs. BONNETT had been in ill health for several years and death was due to a complication of diseases.

Matilda MADARA was born October 10th, 1823, in Pennsylvania. She was united in marriage to William L. BONNETT May 28th, 1848, in West Virginia and to this union nine children were born. Mr. and Mrs. BONNETT came to Iowa in 1859, and settled in Des Moines township, living there and in Fairfield since then. Mr. BONNETT's death occurred eleven years ago in March.

Four years ago Mrs. BONNETT fell and broke her hip and since that time has been an invalid. She has made her home with Mrs. LAWSON for the past three years.

Mrs. BONNETT is survived by five sons and two daughters, George M., of Fairfield, William J., of Farson, Ia., David, of Colorado, Charles D., of Fairfield, Edward of Libertyville, Mrs. Kate LAWSON of Fairfield,. and Mrs. Atlanta LANGDON of Nebraska. Two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte JAMISON and Mrs. Virginia MAJOR, have preceeded (sic) their mother in death.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the First Methodist church and will be in charge of Rev. W. B. Ireland.

MRS. MATILDA BONNETT DIED LAST WEEK

Mrs. Matilda BONNETT, ninety-one years old, passed away Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kate LAWSON.

Mrs. BONNETT has been an invalid for four years, having injured her hip at that time. This injury, together with illnesses caused by old age, were the causes from which death resulted.

The funeral services were held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery by the side of her husband who died here a number of years ago.

Matilda MADARA was born in Pennsylvania, October 10, 1823. On May 28, 1848, she was united in marriage with Wm. L. BONNETT in West Virginia. They came to Iowa in 1859 and located in Jefferson county near Libertyville.

Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. BONNETT, seven of them surviving her. They are George M., Charles D. and Mrs. Kate LAWSON, of this city; William J., of Farson; David, of Colo.; Mrs. Alanta (sic - Atlanta) LANGDON, of Nebraska, and Edward, of Libertyville.
