DEATH TAKES MRS. BLUNDEN

Mrs. Ida May BLUNDEN, 79, seven miles northeast of town, died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myron L. BATES of Fairfield.

Mrs. BLUNDEN had been in failing health for the past two years.

She was the daughter of John and Henrietta BROWN COOK and was born April 4, 1870 in Illinis. On April 4, 1888 she married Eugene ARNETT, who died in 1898. On September 18 (sic - Sept. 22), 1900, she married George BLUNDEN, who preceded her in death in 1915.

Mrs. BLUNDEN first moved to Fairfield in 1900 and lived at 608 W. Kirkwood until 1934 when she went to live with Mrs. BATES in Davenport. She then returned to Jefferson county five years ago with Mr. and Mrs. BATES and has been living with them since. She was a member of the Bethesda church.

Mrs. BLUNDEN is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Etta GUSTISON of Burlington and Mrs. Leona BATES of Fairfield, two brothers, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at the Hoskins funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Howard Devore will be in charge of the services. Burial will be at the Evergreen cemetery.
