MRS. A. C. BLUNK DIED AT NOON
Funeral Arrangement Have Not Been Completed at This Time

Mrs. Julia Josephine BLUNK. 55, wife of August C. BLUNK, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital at noon today. Mrs. BLUNK underwent an operation some time ago and one the morning of April 24 she became seriously ill. The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Mrs. BLUNK is survived by her husband and one son, Harold. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. James GENKINS, and one brother, Justin McCRACKEN, both of Richland.

Mr. and Mrs. BLUNK lived on a farm three miles northwest of Fairfield. Mrs. BLUNK has lived in Jefferson county practically all of her life.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. A. C. BLUNK AT 2:30 TOMORROW

Funeral services for Mrs. A. C. BLUNK, who passed away at the Jefferson county hospital yesterday afternoon following an operation, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 from the First Methodist church. Dr. U. S. Smith will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

BLUNK FUNERAL WAS YESTERDAY
Dr. U. S. Smith of Methodist Church Was in Charge

Funeral services for Mrs. A. C. BLUNK were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the First Methodist church in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Mrs. BLUNK passed away Friday at the Jefferson county hospital following an operation.

The singing at the services was furnished by the male quartet from the Richland Friends church and was composed of Sumner McCRACKEN, Francis Cundy, Luther McCRACKEN and A Minor Hadley. The flower offerings, sent by relatives and friends, were beautiful and profuse.

The pallbearers were Clarke Tracey, Erie Woolums, Don Woolums, James Turner, O. A. Harper and Thomas C. Allen. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

Those from a distance who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Tracey, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Frederick ad C. B. Hull of Oskaloosa; Mr. and Mrs. William BLUNK of Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. William Gust and daughter Tillie of Montpelier; Mrs. John Litcher of Stockton; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hamann of Sunberry; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Finch of Durant; Mr. and Mrs. Henry BLUNK, Mrs. Raymond Johnson and son Raymond and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson of Richland.

Mrs. Julia Josephine BLUNK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enos McCRACKEN, was born nine miles north of Fairfield on Dec. 29, 1875 and passed away May 8, 1931 at the Jefferson county hospital at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was married to August C. BLUNK on Sept. 14, 1918 who with one son Harold one sister, Mrs. James GENKINS and one brother Justin McCRACKEN, are left to mourn their loss. Also four nephews and one niece and a host of other relatives and friends. Her father, mother and one sister having preceded her in death. Her entire life was spent in Jefferson county in and near Fairfield. She united with the M. E. church at Pleasant Plain and in her last sickness expressed her willingness to go. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends.

Dr. J. F. McCreery of Sigourney and Mrs. Lillie Duke of Pekin attended the funeral of Mrs. August BLUNK in Fairfield Sunday and are now visiting at the home of Mrs. Anna Woolums.
