Front Page, Column 5INFANT FOUND DEAD IN CRIB AT FARM HOME
Coroner Jack Raymond said today there will be no inquest in the death of a six months old child found dead in her crib about 1 p.m. yesterday. She is Margaret Louise BLOUGH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John BLOUGH who reside two and a half miles southeast of Fairfield.
Mr. Raymond said death was caused by strangulation to vomitous material.
Mrs. BLOUGH told the coroner and the doctor that she fed the child about 10 a.m. and placed her in her crib. She looked at her about noon and the child was apparently in normal condition, but when she looked at her again about 12:45 p.m., she discovered the baby had died.
A doctor was called immediately and upon examination it was learned that the child had strangled (sic - choked) to death.
Last rites will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. L. H. Scheerer in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Margaret Louise BLOUGH was born February 6, 1947, at Fairfield, the daughter of John and Beulah STEWART BLOUGH.
She is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters, all at home: Joyce Marilyn, Jo Ann and William LeRoy. The child is also survived by her grandparents, J. M. BLOUGH, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy STEWART, all of Fairfield.
