Leland Parker BLOUGH, 91, 206 W. Madison Ave., died Friday morning, Dec. 12, 1997, at the Doylestown Manor in Doylestown, Pa. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Graveside rites will be by the Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192 with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday morning with family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home. Family requests memorials to First Christian Church of the Fairfield Public Library.
Blough was born April 26, 1906,in Cedar Township in Jefferson County, the son of Christian N. and Myrta Catherine PARKER BLOUGH. He married E. Alberta SAUER on Jan. 12, 1941, at the Lutheran Church in Ottumwa. She died Feb. 26, 1991. He was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1926. He was a farmer and farmed the home farm in the Glasgow community. He was a member of First Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192.
Survivors include one son, James P. of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Sue Ann BLOUGH-YOUNG of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; two grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald S. of Fairfield. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
