Death takes John BLOUGH

John BLOUGH, 71, died this morning at University Hospitals at 7:50 (note: in Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA). His home address was Route 1.

The body is at the Behner Funeral Home where services are pending.

Services for John D. BLOUGH will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home.

The Rev. Wayne L. Bartruff will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

BLOUGH died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at University Hospital in Iowa City after being in failing health for a number of years and seriously ill the past four weeks.

John D. BLOUGH, 71, was born Sept. 5, 1907, in Fairfield and spent his entire life in this community. He was the son of J. Mel and Grace HARPER BLOUGH.

He was married Feb. 12, 1936, to Beulah STEWART who survives. The marriage took place in Ottumwa. BLOUGH had been employed as a bulldozer operator for Jefferson County for 36 years prior to his retirement because of ill health.

In addition to his widow he is survived by two daughters, Joyce BROWN, Fairfield, and Jo Ann BLOUGH, Coralville; one son, William BLOUGH, Grandforks, N.D.; a brother, Joe BLOUGH, Fairfield; and four grandchildren.

BLOUGH was preceded in death by one sister and one daughter.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF JOHN D. BLOUGH, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 1ST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1978, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN D. BLOUGH, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 26TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1978, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT BEULAH M. BLOUGH AND JOYCE M. BROWN WERE APPOINTED CO-EXECUTORS OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
